Copernican Camera: Rotation One

This mount for a camera compensates for the rotation of the earth, providing a non-geocentric perspective. The looping video below condenses one day’s images. The stars remain a fixed point of reference as the earth moves, as seen in the detail still. Technically, the mount is controlled by an Arduino and the motion blur was produced from a series of still frames using a piece of software called SlowMo.
